Welcome!

This Gallery is dedicated to image making using the KingPANO panohead. I have spent 3+ years in development with various designs and at least 40 variations. What you see is the final design. Please look around the site and view my images and a few from my customers of what can be accomplished with a digital camera, tripod, and the KingPANO. Here some answers to Frequently Asked Questions about my panohead...

The KingPANO has click stops every 7.5 degrees with engraved markings. You have many combinations on the numbers of shots you want to make. Here are the numbers.

2 shots @ 180 degrees ----- 3 shots @ 120 degrees
4 shots @ 90 degrees ------ 6 shots @ 60 degrees
8 shots @ 45 degrees ----- 12 shots @ 30 degrees
24 shots @ 15 degrees ---- 48 shots @ 7.5 degrees

As you can see, the KingPANO can be used in many different combinations. You don't have change out any detent rings. Just rotate/click to the numbers and shoot.

The KingPANO is made from Acrylic (cool looking, shiny, and black) It has been made from all kinds of materials from ABS, PVC, Urethane, Delrin, and Aluminum. The price / looks / performance always led me back to acrylic.

KingPANO is a pain in the neck...I mean Back!
06/09/10

If you haven't read or heard about me and my 21 years in the Air Force and my chance to fly around and be a part of the Air Demonstration Team "The Thunderbirds" and be a photographer/graphic illustrator for 7 years...the rest of my military life was flying around to one place or another(25 countries) The only damage I sustained was jet lag and a really bad back. This is the procedure I have every year or so for chronic pain. Time for another one. "Cool Procedure for Back Pain" Check out the great animation.

Yes We Are Still Working Hard!
05/20/10

It has been awhile since I had a chance to update the news. This is due to our success. Busy as ever...and many hot pokers in the fire. Juggling them and paying enough attention not to get burned.

Family problems develop with the death of my father and I have had to extend shipping of products. Please be aware and have patience. You will be rewarded for it. New developments of upgrades are one of the pokers in the fire. Let's see what else 2010 has for us. It can only go up from here!

Sigma SD-14 WOW!
05/20/10

I have been playing with the SD9 for a few years and with the kit lens...I was getting astounding detail. Here comes the SD14, better resolution and better software to handle fluctuation in exposures when shooting RAW.

All I want to do is play and take pictures of cracks in sidewalks, multi-row panoramics to my shoelaces. All have depth and detail that makes you want to stare and not blink..."hey you with the bloodshot eyes."

The only cons that I have(I know there are many for others but I have just one)...I want to use my many Canon lenses! especially el-cheapo 50mm 1.8($68USD). The Sigma 50mm is in 1.4 and $500...ouch. I'm sorry that I'm stingy. I would like to have all the time in the world and live in my mothers basement and change the Sigma to accept Canon lenses. I have some adapters laying around, I think I'll try something. If not, I have a lathe and a computer controlled milling machine.

Frustrated Ipix Owners FC-E8 and FC-E9 Supported
03/20/10

Check out the gallery of the newest update to the KingPANO. I have created an adapter that will hold onto the lens of the FC-E8 and E9 lens. You simply twist the knob to tighten and loosen to flip the camera in the horizontal and vertical mode. Unscrew the knob completely to remove the camera. Price varies so please email for more information.

UPDATE: We have made it even better by adding gussets to hold the Nikon 8700 adapter and FC-E9. The lens/camera combo is almost 13" long. We needed some kind of support and CAD software pointed the way for a better design and strength.

KingPANO wins Silver Award
06/06/06

Check out the May issue of "Digital Photo" the UK's largest digital photo magazine. The KingPANO was reviewed and won the much coveted Silver Award and won 5 stars in Price/Performance category. Barnes & Noble carry the magazine. Will get permission to post the review here...please check back.
